Where is the ceremony?
The ceremony will be conducted in Upper Montclair, NJ at a church called Weddings at Union. Click here for more information.

What time should I arrive?
If you are attending the ceremony, we recommend arriving between 2:30 and 2:45 p.m. The ceremony will begin at 3:00 p.m. The cocktail hour will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Do I have to mail back my RSVP or can I RSVP online?

What is the dress code for your wedding?
Our wedding dress code is black tie optional.
For men, we recommend wearing either a tuxedo or a dark suit with a tie.
For women, please feel free to wear either a full-length gown or a cocktail dress.

Are there any colors you would prefer me not to wear?
That's so kind of you to ask! The bride will be wearing all-white and the bridesmaids will be wearing a blue-gray similar to the blue used on this website. You may want to consider wearing other colors than these. The handsome groom and our wonderful groomsmen will be in black tuxedos.

What is the closest airport to your ceremony and reception?
The closest airport is Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), which is located about 20 miles away from the hotel as well as the venues.

Are there any local places you'd recommend I visit while I'm in town?
Of course, with being so close to New York City, there is plenty to do in the area. Kristen and Daniel have included some of their favorite places here.

Is there parking available near the ceremony and reception venues?
Yes, there is plenty of street parking available at the ceremony venue, and the reception venue offers complimentary valet parking.

Will you be providing transportation?
We will be providing transportation to/from our reception at The Venetian for our guests staying at The Hampton Inn & Suites. Stay tuned as the shuttle schedule will be posted online as the wedding approaches.

Can I bring a plus one?
If your invitation was addressed to you "plus guest", then we would love for you to bring a guest.​

Can I bring my children?
Adults-only Occasion
In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation, we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult-only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!

We would love to give all our guests the opportunity to let their hair down and have a good time without having to worry about little eyes and ears, so we politely request no children.

Will the ceremony be taking place indoors or outdoors?

What type of food will be served?
The Venetian is known for its delicious cuisine and extensive cocktail hour. When you arrive at the venue, you will have a cocktail hour followed by a sit-down meal. But don't forget to leave room for cake and desserts. Don't worry about calories, as we hope you dance the night away with us on the dance floor.

Will there be vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free food options?
Yes, there will be plenty of options for those with dietary restrictions or preferences, but if you have specific requests and want to check, feel free to email us.

Can I take photos of your wedding and can I post them on social media?
We ask that you please limit the photos during the wedding ceremony, as this is an intimate moment between the bride and groom.

We want you to be able to really enjoy our wedding ceremony, feeling truly present and in the moment with us. We've hired an amazing wedding photographer who will be capturing the way the ceremony looks — and we're inviting each of you to sit back, relax and just enjoy how the ceremony feels.

When it comes time to celebrate at the reception, please feel free to take photos and post them on social media. We would love for you to use the hashtag #broughtonbylove - a play on the groom's last name.
