Things to Do

Here is a list of some of our favorite restaurants, local attractions and possible day trips while you're in the area.
458 Eagle Rock Ave
West Orange, NJ 07052
Don't let this place's modest location and small size fool you. This is our favorite sushi spot! They offer a free miso soup, salad and sample roll to share.
You must enjoy a New Jersey bagel while in town. You are either the a "Taylor ham, egg and cheese" person or a "cream cheese and lox" person. Choose your side wisely and enjoy! We've included the two closest bagel shops to the hotel below.
Manhattan Bagel
435 Hollywood Ave
Fairfield, NJ 07004
Fairfield Hot Bagel
397 US 46
Fairfield, NJ 07004
913 Allwood Rd
Clifton, NJ 07012
Experience a "Jersey Diner" and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner 24-hours a day in one of our retro-looking diners. Try the "disco fries" with gravy on the side.
775 Bloomfield Ave.,
West Caldwell, NJ 07006
Don't leave New Jersey without enjoying our version of a sub, hoogie, grinder, sandwich. Whatever you call them, we do them better :)
193 Glenridge Ave
Montclair, NJ 07042
Located in Montclair, this gastropub restaurant features a small but unique menu filled with delicious drinks and many french fry options and small bites.
292 Bloomfield Ave
Montclair, NJ 07042
Another Montclair gem, which has great Greek food. But be sure to bring your own wine as it's BYOB.
173 Glenridge Ave
Montclair, NJ 07042
If you are looking for good Italian food while in the area, check out this place and bring wine, as it's BYOB.
Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse
1221 Ave Of The Americas
New York, NY 10020
While located in NYC, this is Dan's favorite place to enjoy a steak. While it's a little pricey, it's definitely worth the trip but make a reservation before you go.
The Malls
Take your pick between Garden State Plaza, Willowbrook Mall or Short Hills. Note: Garden State Plaza isn't open on Sundays.
Hoboken
This city on the water offers amazing views of NYC and great places to eat and drink. Beware of parking and, when possible, park in a parking garage.
Just a short train or bus ride away, we definitely recommend heading into the city while in the area. Visit www.nycgo.com for things to do.
Princeton
About an 1.5 hour car ride away, Princeton is a great town featuring the ivy-league university, good food and shopping, and a rich history.
Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park
One of our country's largest waterfalls is only about 15-20 minutes from our ceremony, reception and hotel venues.
For more things to do while you're in New Jersey, take a look at the New Jersey Tourism website www.visitnj.org
For the true "Jersey experience", head to Seaside Heights and enjoy iconic Jersey Shore things like a boardwalk, games, fried food and drinks. If you would still like a boardwalk experience plus good restaurants and nice gift shops, head to Bruce Springsteen's old stomping grounds, Asbury Park. If you want a more quiet beach without the boardwalk kitschiness, enjoy Long Beach Island.
Feeling lucky? Make the 3-hour drive down the parkway to the casinos in AC or enjoy a show.
Buy tickets in advance and enjoy a show in New York City.
Philadelphia
If you feel like exploring Philadelphia, it's a bit less than 2 hours from the hotel, and there are plenty of tours and things to do there in early summer.
